Kids And Coping With ADHD

This week is totally different to any week I've known for the past 5 years. Chris AND Courtney have gone to stay with their nan for the whole week. I have never been away from Courtney for that length of time before, and it's a bit scary. After all, she's my "baby".. lol. There's no doubt in my mind that she'll be absolutely fine, and she's probably grateful for the break away from our own little madhouse hehehe.

While we've been having a little bit of peace here at home, Kyle, Kelsey and me have been taking the time to enjoy each others company. Today we went to the cinema to watch Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory. Johnny Depp plays a pretty good part, and the kids really enjoyed the film. Me? I had a hard time keeping myself awake through the whole thing ;~)

This evening we went to a chinese restaurant for a meal. Kyle scoffed his face as much as he could and really enjoyed it. Unbelievably, he actually SAT at the table, and even used his knife and fork.

Today was a total first for Kyle, and a great big milestone for us. We've never been able to take him to either the cinema nor restaurants before without having to get up and leave. Today we did both, and we all had a fabulous time. As they say, there's a first time for everything ;~)
